A Lovely couple recently came to us whilst renovating their Victorian Home in Ealing, West London, with the requirement of providing plantation shutters for their Master Bedroom, Dressing Room and En-suite Bathroom.
With beautiful large Bay and Sash windows to dress in their victorian period London property, they had many shutter options to consider but wanted to ensure that the windows remained the hero feature of the room, particularly with the large bay window in the master bedroom. An essential criteria for them was maintaining maximum light but also the privacy required living in a residential area. They were also keen to combine curtains & blinds with their shutters.
Café Style Shutters were chosen as the perfect option, as although the property is not particularly overlooked and the rooms are on the first floor, an element of privacy was still needed, and by covering just the lower part of the window maximum light could still come in from the windows above.
The Shutters were selected from our Fiji, hardwood range, a premium product which is perfect for large windows due to its light nature and also great if you are wanting to use a custom colour as our clients did in order to perfectly match their chosen colour schemes and interiors. They also wanted a high level product which would be durable and easy to maintain and last them for years to come.
The finished installed plantation shutters look fantastic! They look simple, clean and elegant and are in keeping with the other interiors within the rooms.
