CUBA - BASSWOOD SHUTTERS
Cuba shutters are our entry-level hardwood shutter that is made up of a robust MDF and Hardwood core frame and hardwood panels making it a cost-effective option for the highest quality finish.
The panels are lighter in weight than the MDF shutters options making them more suitable for large windows. The lighter weight also allows us to hinge up to 4 panels together providing more options for your choice in configuration.
As the panels are 100% hardwood, they are spray painted providing a premium finish and with 12 paint colours to choose from as well as custom colour options this product provides a huge variety of options.
Shop Shutters Request an appointment InspirationThe Cuba range is our most popular hardwood shutter. It is manufactured from a mix of sustainable hardwoods with a medium density fibreboard (MDF) frame.
The woods used include – Ayous, White Teak, Poplar and Basswood.
This combination of materials allows strength whilst reducing weight and provides a cost effective option for hardwood shutters. All shutter panels are finger jointed creating a high quality and durable product.

Our Cuba range is made with basswood panels and a medium density fibreboard (MDF) frame. Available in 12 paint finishes (no stains) and custom colours, it comes with a range of tilt rod options (offset, central and hidden).
The Cuba range also comes with 4 louvre sizes of 47 mm, 63mm 76mm and 89 mm.

Cuba shutters are available in full height, tier-on-tier or cafe style. These styles are available for online orders and for measure and fit service. Our Cuba range is available also in a tracking system, but this type of shutters cannot be designed and ordered online due to their complexity. This is where our measure and fit service comes in handy.
Also shutters for bay windows or for specially shaped windows cannot be designed online, but you can always ask for a free appointment and we will measure them for you and send you a no obligation quote!

The current Shutter Shop FAQ states that shutters are guaranteed for three years and blinds for one year.
