Solid panel window shutters, in either Solid Raised or Solid Shaker, offer a beautiful, more traditional shutter look to our louvred shutters.
The beauty of having solid panel window shutters is not only in their look, but their simplicity, with no operable louvres, the solid panels can either be opened or closed to let in the light or block it out, as opposed to a mix of both light and privacy options that other louvred shutter styles offer.
Two verified panel profiles
Both are solid hardwood panels without operable louvres. The difference is the final design aesthetic.
Shaker panels are simpler, with a flat or slightly recessed centre. Their clean, simple design is timeless and offers a more modern or rustic look, depending on the finish and materials used.
Solid Raised panels have a more pronounced, decorative look with the centre raised above the frame. The added depth and texture make them feel more substantial, classic and traditional.
Hardwood material
Solid panel window shutters are only available in the best hardwood materials, which offer the widest choice of colours and stains available, to perfectly complement your rooms.

The solid shutter panels come hinged to a frame making them very easy to open and close, not only to help control the light in the room, but also to provide quick and easy access to your windows as and when required. Single panels can be hinged together which allows them to be concertinaed and helps provide a highly stylish finish to windows in any room.
Paints, stains & custom matching
Solid shutters are available in the same colours as our Fiji range: 30 paint colours and 24 stain finishes plus a custom colour. Colour sample chips are available on request.

Solid Shutter Styles
Solid panel shutters come in both Solid Shaker and Solid Raised panel styles and you can choose the shutter panels in the style of your choice; café, tier on tier and full height versions. You can also order solid shutters online and benefit from an additional discount.
Café style covers the lower part of the window, preserving natural light above.
Tier on Tier provides independently opening upper and lower panels for flexible access and coverage.
Full Height panels run across the complete window for a clean, substantial solid-panel finish.

Although very similar, there are small differences to the final design aesthetic of Solid Shaker and Solid Raised Shutters. Solid Raised Panels have a more pronounced, decorative look with the centre of the panel raised above the frame. Solid Raised Shutters are generally considered more traditional compared to Shaker Shutters. Shaker Shutters are more minimalist and modern, inspired by the Shaker furniture style, emphasizing simplicity.
