Our client in Thames Ditton was looking for a traditional window dressing that would complement their Surrey home without feeling overly decorative or fussy. After discussing the available options, they chose our Solid Shaker Window Shutters, which offer a clean and understated appearance thanks to their flat central panels.
While our Solid Raised shutters provide a more detailed, traditional look, the Shaker style was the perfect choice for achieving a classic yet contemporary finish. Solid panel shutters are an excellent solution for homeowners seeking enhanced privacy, improved insulation and complete light control, particularly in bedrooms.
To keep the project within budget, these shutters were manufactured from our lower-priced hardwood range, proving that bespoke bay window shutters don't have to come with a premium price tag. The shutters were finished in Aura White and complemented with elegant brushed nickel ring pulls for a refined touch.
The bay window in the master bedroom was an ideal candidate for bespoke shutters. Bay windows can often be challenging to dress with curtains or blinds, but made-to-measure shutters follow the angles of the window perfectly, creating a seamless and elegant finish. As well as enhancing the character of the room, bay window shutters provide excellent privacy, light control and insulation, making them a practical choice for period and modern homes alike.
Alongside the bay window installation in the master bedroom, we also fitted matching shutters to other windows in the guest bedroom, creating a cohesive look throughout the property.
