The Shutter Shop are finalists in The BBSA Excellence Awards 2024 Posted on 30 Jan 17:20 , 0 comments
We are thrilled to have been announced as finalists in the BBSA Excellence Awards 2024 in the Best Internal Shutter Installation Category. The BBSA (British Blind & Shutter Association) is the largest impartial industry body for shading in the UK. The annual excellence awards identify and reward the best of the UK shading industry and boasts 11 categories.
Our entry in the Best Internal Shading category was for a Unique Shutter Installation for an Apex Window in a Barn Conversion with Obstructing Wooden Beams. We enjoy a challenge at The Shutter Shop, and this was certainly one of our proudest installations of 2023!
With this particular installation, we were invited and challenged by our customer to see if we could fit shutters on a large apex barn window. They had looked at several window dressing options prior to getting in touch with us; Curtains, honeycomb blinds, roller blinds, roman blinds, and venetian blinds, as well as combination of all of these, and had found that none of them were feasible for their unique window. After a lot of head scratching and thought we found a solution and made shutters possible.
We are really proud of all of our team to have been recognized in this category along with some other fantastic businesses. The winner of each category will be announced on the 2nd March at the awards ceremony in Edinburgh, wish us luck!
