We are delighted to share that we have been announced as finalists in the BBSA Excellence Awards 2026, in the Best Internal Shutter Installation
Shutter Association (BBSA) is the UK’s largest impartial industry body for shading, representing excellence across blinds, shutters, awnings, and related systems. Each year, the BBSA Excellence Awards recognise outstanding projects from members of all sizes and specialisms across the industry. This is the second time we have been shortlisted in this category, having previously been finalists in 2024, and it is a fantastic achievement for our team.
Our shortlisted entry was a large motorised internal shutter installation for an angled skylight in North West London. The project presented a unique challenge, as the interior designer required motorised shutters to be installed within a stairwell skylight measuring over 3.5 metres wide and nearly 2 metres high.
While selecting the appropriate product was straightforward, the main challenge lay in the logistics of installing shutters of this scale in such a demanding space. The installation required a cherry picker and a three man installation team to complete the work safely and to the highest standard.
The finished result features bespoke hardwood shutters with integrated motorised functionality, providing both a striking visual impact and the practical shading the space required. The client was extremely pleased with the final outcome.
As a small business, we take great pride in our workmanship and teamwork, and having that dedication recognised by the industry is something we truly value. The winners of each category will be announced on 7th March at the BBSA Awards Ceremony in Manchester.
